Anthropic is telling potential investors that it sees a total addressable market of eleventy kajillion spacebucks:

Anthropic is likely to tell investors that it sees its ‌total addressable market (TAM) exceeding $30 trillion, ahead of ‌the $28.5 trillion estimate from SpaceX, the Wall Street Journal ​reported on Tuesday.

30 trillion dollars. They may even have said it with a straight face.

At long last, can we be done with this? We’ve had our fun. We’ve fantasized about the power and value of AI in the same way that I look at mansions on Realtor.com after buying a Powerball ticket but before the numbers are drawn. But this is really enough. It’s not fun anymore. It’s not cute. It’s pathetic. Let’s drop it and move on.
